Lertpun Group provides technical training, competency development, standards writing and engineering support to well service companies and operators. Our work covers four service lines — coiled tubing, nitrogen, fluid pumping and stimulation — and the equipment and software used to run them.
The company was founded by Suriya Lertpun after a career spent building and leading exactly these operations. He joined Schlumberger as a cementing field engineer in 1993 and spent seventeen years across Southeast Asia, the UK and the United States: coiled tubing instructor at the training centre in Bottesford, technical and field service manager in Bangkok and Balikpapan, business development manager for coiled tubing across the Middle East and Asia, and manager of worldwide 24/7 coiled tubing technical support from Sugar Land, Texas.
In 2010 he moved to OilSERV, building its coiled tubing and stimulation business in Kurdistan from nothing to a team of more than a hundred and 65% share of the Iraqi market by 2012–13. He then spent five years as learning and development manager for the cementing, stimulation and coiled tubing division, started up operations in Hassi Messaoud, Algeria, and served as CSC Technical Manager in Dubai until 2025.

To raise the technical standard of coiled tubing and pumping services by developing the people who deliver them — through training that reflects real operations, standards that match real equipment, and competency systems that measure what someone can actually do.

A regional industry where a certificate is evidence of capability, where every job is designed before it is pumped, and where crews in Iraq, the Gulf and Southeast Asia work to the same standard as the best operations anywhere in the world.

Safety before schedule
Coiled tubing and pumping carry specific hazards: high pressure, stored energy in the reel, acid, nitrogen and heavy equipment in tight locations. Every course and every procedure we write starts from the hazard, and every person on location keeps the authority to stop the job.
Competence over paperwork
A signed attendance sheet is not competence. We assess against what a person must be able to do on shift, in writing and in practice, and we are willing to record that someone is not yet ready.
Technical honesty
We are independent of every equipment vendor. If a design will not work, a fleet is not fit for the well, or a crew is not ready for the campaign, we say so — including when it is not what the client hoped to hear.
Knowledge that stays
Our objective is to leave a client able to run without us: trainers who can teach, supervisors who can assess, and documentation that stays accurate after the engagement ends.
